 COFFEE CREEK HOLIDAY  HOME
The Enchanting Valleys Of Coorg

Coorg (kodagu) is a mountaineous district located in South india. The misty hills, lush green valleys, evergreen forests and meandering brooks beckon nature lovers for a tranquil sojourn. The region is scattered with hamlets, villages and townships surrounded by coffee plantations and orange groves interspersed with cardamom and pepper plants and dense forests.
Kodagu or Coorg is derived from the local version “Kodavu” and the people of Kodagu are known as Kodavas. According to Puranic versions, the land of initial settlement was called Krodadesa which later became Kodavu. It is also said that Kodagu is derived from the word Kodava, Kod means 'give' and avva means 'mother', i.e mother Kaveri, the river Kaveri.

Endless mountain ranges, ridge after ridge of grassy and forest clad slopes raising to the sky, give Coorg its unique and irreplaceable character. Travelers who love nature, the unspoiled charm of villages should get off the beaten track and visit Coorg, a wild and rugged region located in the state of Karnataka. The wooded slopes, quaint villages, colorful scenery and undulating landscape have fascinated tourists until today.

The Coffee Creek homestay is situated in a small coffee estate surrounded by forest. Shielded from all artificial noises,
Coffee Creek is a very peaceful and silent place that is sure to make one feel relaxed and fresh in mind and body.
